The Village Youth Services is currently hiring for the following position(s):

Program Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews feeding site documentation to prepare for agency reimbursement and reports

• Works closely with Program Monitors to ensure all site paperwork is submitted correctly

• Maintains all reviews/visit documentation submitted by Program Monitors

• Travel with Monitors to observe program operations all assigned feeding sites

• Reviews all meal count paperwork and enters information into database to generate reimbursement reports

• Assists Program Coordinator with site approval process

• Prepares and maintains file folder for each site ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date

• Make corrections/recommendations or comments to assigned sites

• Report unresolved or critical issues to the Program Coordinator

• Attend mandatory staff meetings

• Provide on-site refresher training for site staff

• Complete and submit all forms to TVYS as required

• Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum high-school diploma

• Prior food service experience desired

• Must speak fluent English & Spanish

• Must have a cell phone, dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license/vehicle registration & motor vehicle insurance a must

• Possess administrative skills and excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

• Must be highly organized and able to multi-task

• Possess computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to compose simple correspondence

• Able to resolve problems and effectively provide information verbally to clients

• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form

• Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with other staff.


Program Monitor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel to and observe program operations at assigned feeding sites

• Check on-site operations to ensure site personnel maintain records & program operates according to requirements

• Conduct site reviews of food service operations & prepare reports regarding such

• Conduct weekly site visits

• Make corrections/recommendations or comments to assigned sites

• Report unresolved or critical issues to the Program Coordinator

• Attend mandatory staff meetings

• Provide on-site refresher training for site staff

• Complete and submit all forms to TVYS as required

• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 60-credit hours (official transcript req’d.) and one (1) year of prior food service experience

• Must speak fluent English & Spanish

• Must have a cell phone, dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license/vehicle registration & motor vehicle insurance a must

• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

• Must be highly organized and able to work independently

• able to resolve problems and effectively provide information verbally to clients

• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form

• Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with other staff.


Site Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve snacks and/or meals

• Clean-up snack service area

• Ensure safe and sanitary conditions at the site (with regards to the snack service ONLY)

• Ensure the safety of food, and comply with local health and safety standards

• Receive and account for delivered meals

• Ensure that children eat all snacks on-site

• Take accurate meal counts

• Implement any corrective actions noted by the Monitors

• Ensure that all program paperwork is accurate prior to submission

• Complete and submit all forms to TVYS as required

• Performs other duties as assigned.
